  1. I think that this is a quite nice selection of photos. I especially like your 1st and 3rd images. I think that there is something magical about them, partially because of the colors that you chose. The 3rd image has some nice mystery to it and is pleasant to look at. I personally don't think that the 2nd image is that interesting because of its subject and there is not much to look at. But in terms of these having to be portraits, the first two images do not include anyone in the photo, and that's not what Challenge 1 was about. I would consider your 1st photo a "Challenge 3" image, as it contains the room and not the person. I personally like the Hogwarts chess photo, it too looks a little bit mysterious. And I like the editing that you did to the pillow but I would at least replace this image, as it does not tell us much about the person you are portraying. But overall, I think that some of these are quite creative and are interesting to look at.

  2. Your last photo is the most successful to me. I like the way you have the chess pieces set up and making it a black and white photo made the overall portrait that much better. I believe you would have to redo challenge 1 as that one you were supposed to include another person. In terms of your other photos I believe you could benefit from some more editing on your second challenge 2 photo as you did on your first challenge 2 photo.

  3. Hi Eric. Sadly I don't think these images represent a very successful group of images. They are dark, undefined and lacking many of the qualities that make a good portrait. You need to find a subject for your first two images, as objects don't count as portraits for these. Your self portraits need more experimentation and you should not hide behind the camera. That doesn't mean that your face needs to be front and center, but in these we have no idea who is even the subject (minus the fact of course that you posted them.) Additionally they are lacking light and composition and really just lacking in their visual qualities overall. The last two are for me the more successful images, with the pillow being rather interesting. Please replace the first four images and continue working on that last two to see if you can come up with anything else. Good Luck!
