  1. I love the first "Nothing But Grey" image! The different lines and the silhouette of the building against the sky works so well for the image. I also love how minimalistic the photo is. However, I'm not entirely sure if it fits the "Nothing But Grey" challenge - I think it may fit better with the "Almost Black" challenge. I also think for most of your images, converting them to B&W will help to fit the prompt better and may create interesting images.

  2. Hi Zoe. I am again sorry that you missed getting place into a group on Tuesday. Your images share similar issues to others in the group. You need to find an interesting subject! Your first four images are very standard, pedestrian and even ordinary images, regardless of how you process them. When you process them to be darker or brighter, that processing does not support or strengthen the content and ultimately appear as though it is a technical mistake, verses an intentional decision. Now, your fifth image is BRILLIANT! 100% AMAZING!!!!!!! You need more images like this. Not exactly the same of course, but visual information that is compelling, clean, direct and transports us to another place. I would make this image a little darker and us if for Almost Black. Sadly I think you need to scrap all the others. In most cases you show us too much and your images are cluttered with standard information that doesn't translate into a creative photo. Good Luck!

  3. Hi Zoe, nice images this week! My favorite image is definitely my favorite images of the series. It is definitely the most effective image and satisfies the assignment the most. I like the contrasting dark gray against the fully black outlines of the stairs. I think your "nothing but white" images are the weakest, but also the most difficult of the series to produce. I think the exposure in the pictures is close to what you are looking for, but I think the images will be a lot stronger if there is a singular subject or less noise in general. Similar advice for the first two images, a singular subject or a focus on one or two subjects will truly make your images stand out!! Keep it up!
