  1. I really like your self portrait images a lot and how you edited them gave some good contrast! I think I would maybe lighten up the last image (I like the black and white), but it is on the darker side. I would also lighten up your second image because it is hard to see that it is of someone. Otherwise I really like your work.

  2. Your self portrait images are really great, I like colors, contrast and this place are really good chosen. Firs image of someone you know portrait I think it is really good, maybe it is possible to add a little bit of contrast. In second one for me the light looks like a subject and overshadows the person, maybe lightening would help. Last image I think is really good because I like that light on the desk.I really like your images.

  3. Hi Emil. With the portraits of someone you know, it would be nice to see a resemblance of someone and not just a shadow or silhouette. It doesn't mean it can't be a dark image, it absolutely can, but there needs to be more definition in the figure and space. As to your self portraits, they are a bit too standard and simple. While this is an approach, it is more about you taking the photo and it doesn't add anything to you as a person. I would encourage this approach, but remove the camera from your face and place it a different angle. Additionally the images are too similar. Your last two images are ok, but seem a bit generic to me. I very much enjoy the light and the shadows, as well as your high contrast processing, but they don't seem very personal and therefore they don't engage me as a portrait normally would. They more than likely make a lot more sense to you as portraits, but as someone from the outside they feel generic. Good Luck!
