  1. I like your works! Especially the almost black ones, they are almost black without blacking out all the subject matters. However, the almost white photos are a bit too overexposed and over edited in the way that viewers can't make out anything but white. The first grey photo is natural that it may not even edit to begin with. Nice work! The second one, however, it a bit lacking in terms of crafting and composition.

  2. Hi Eleanor. As discussed in class the Gray images are working or beginning to work really well. Perhaps a bit of a crop on the last one and a touch more contrast in the clouds. But a good solid start. Your Black & White images, sadly are just too forced and the processing doesn't support and strengthen the content of those images. As I did mention in class however, I could see an image with a dark tree against a slightly lighter sky. Still dark, but just a bit lighter. These just take things a bit too far, IMO. Like I'm saying over and over, find subject that is naturally closer to the challenge and is already darker or brighter. Good Luck!

  3. Hey Eleanor, I think for your almost black photos you show try to find subject matter that while dark has some highlights to it. I think that will make them more visually appealing. I think your second white image isn't as successful as your first white one. Overall it looks like you're on the right track!
