Annalee, Awesome job! I think your black two are really nice, specifically the picture of the bush is edited really nicely to fit the bill. I think you handled production for those two pictures really well and they came out great. The first of your white photos personally looks overedited to me and I'm not really captivated by it. Despite that, your second one is also strong. Reminds me of a stairway to heaven or something. Very interesting. In comparison, your gray photos fit the assignment but felt a bit safe. I still like them and think they are perfect for the assignment, I just wasn't super interested in the content provided by them as your other 3 were so strong. Good work!
Hi Annalee, My favorite of your photos is the staircase one. I especially like how you chose not to do it from the typical angle of going up the stairs and the texture of the metal creates a really cool photo. I agree with Skylar that the first white image seems over edited. Also, I think the second black image could use a little something. But overall you did a great job.
Hi Annalee. I think we covered most of it in class on Tuesday. Crop the gray smoke stack and see what happens. It could be wonderful. Keep the first black one and scrap the rest! : ) They are just too forced and they are lacking sophistication and elegance. Or they are lacking an edge and being gross! Either way they are missing the idea of the Metaphor. Good Luck!
