  2. I think this is a very nice collection of photos. I really like the colors that you chose (especially for images 4 and 5). I personally find image 4 to be very pleasing to look at. Those flames look quite nice - colorful and bright. I think image 3 is also interesting because of the color and the shapes of the trees. I can see that you tried to follow all the techniques and I think you did it pretty well. The main thing for me is that image 2 looks a bit too casual. I think you can play around with the edits on this one but I also think if you would re shoot this one at a low shutter speed, perhaps you could get an interesting effect with the blur of the plant moving from place to place (assuming this plant is being moved by a wind). Also, for your 1st photo, maybe try to see how a cool blue hue works on this image, I think it might look good. The only other suggestion I would make is perhaps try being more abstract with some of your images sometimes. But overall, I do not know what else I would change because I would personally say that these already look quite good. I think you did a pretty good job on this.

  3. Hi Jezzelle!
Nice WIP for this week! Your photos are quite interesting and actually forced me to take a second look to decipher what it was I was looking at, particularly the first, and last image. For the first image, I believe they're rocks sticking out of the water, I would love to see a long exposure on the water, and the rocks a stronger part of the image. The edges of the rock and shapes are quite interesting. More exposure on them, and a greater depth of field will make the rocks stick out even more and allow this image to pop. I feel as though the 2nd and 4th images are your weakest and do not provide much for the time or movement aspects of this assignment. As for your last image, I think it is very mysterious but it is kind of a blank/boring piece. If you can find a way to incorporate something interesting into the background, without it overpowering the image, will prove successful. I think the black background takes away from the image and can hurt the image. Looking forward to seeing what you finalize! Best of Luck!

  4. Hi Jezzelle. The images where you are distorting or changing reality are the ones that stand out to me. So your third and fifth images are the ones I would keep. I would continue to edit them more, but they have a good foundation. I would eliminate the other three and retake those photos. While I know there is movement in those images, I don't find them to be as interesting or creative. They are lacking a feeling. Good Luck!
