You have a really great set of images here. They really belong in the category of abstractions, especially the fourth and fifth images. I'd be really curious to know what those two images are of. The only photo I might work on is number three. I think it could be cool if it was in black and white with the lines and depths exaggerated.
Hi Jezzelle. I think these are off to good start. I think better processing in LR will help most of them but a few I would replace. I would encourage you to replace images 3 & 5 as I don't find them to be all that interesting visually. I understand your decision for taking them and they are abstractions, but they aren't dynamic enough. I also don't think the color in image #5 is strong enough. You want a pop of color. I love the light in the first image, and would strongly suggest you use that strength of light in you newer images. Good Luck!
My favorite photos are the first and second images. I like the strong light and textures in both of them. I like your choice of color in the split toning as well. For the first photo, in the top half of the image or the background that doesn't have that strong light source, I might make that section just a little bit more visible by bringing up the exposure or brightening the shadows a little. Just enough to leave it as a background but to also make that half of the photo a little more visible and interactive with the rest of the photo. I also think your fourth image could be really interesting if you brought up the contrast or somehow made the water droplets a little more defined. I think that could create a very dramatic image. I think the third photo could be a little more dynamic, but overall great images!
