  1. Elizabeth,
What a strong first photo! I absolutely love it! I won't lie, I'm a little jealous that you got an opportunity to take such a strong and vivid photo and I love the edits you've done on it. I think that photo is one of your strongest. I also really like the basketball photo. The placement and angle is really interesting which seems wonderful to me. I'm a bit worried about the 3 beach photos as Professor Bale did note to try and avoid bike pictures and walking pictures. Still, I do like the really strong sense of light in those shots and think they're pretty nice photos all together.
    Great work!

  2. Your first photo is amazing! What great timing and the framing is so good as well - because the image is minimal, the emphasis is drawn towards the lightning . I also really enjoy the placement of your subjects in all of your images. Your bike pictures, for example, stops motion, but your framing - placing the subject on one side and empty space on the other - implies movement within the image. Your editing style also unifies your images for this series. While they're all different photos and subjects, your editing creates a similar feeling between them [I don't really know how to articulate it]. If I have to critique anything, I would say that your second photo is not as successful as your other photos. This is mostly because you have such strong subjects in your other photos.

  3. Hi Elizabeth. The photo of the person playing basketball is GREAT! The light, the color, the ball in the air and the two people. It's all there! I find the other ones to be ok, but not as nearly as dynamic and visually interesting as the basketball images. I would love to see more like that. Not exactly the same thing, but images that are more unique. Sure, your images of people walking and riding bike demonstrate movement, but not as wonderfully. They are also a bit simple and straightforward. Good Luck!
