Devitt: Time & Movement WIP
Note: I am not happy with most of these photos and plan on probably redoing most of them. I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but every time I put my shutter speed low enough to show a blur, the photos came out completely white. I played around with different ISO but nothing changed no matter what I put it on. Tips? Tricks?

Hi Skylar. As I discussed in class and in the tutorial, having your subject blur might not be possible during normal daylight hours. There is just going to be way too much light even with a lower ISO number and stopping your aperture down to the smallest opening (biggest number.) So it doesn't surprise me that your images are turning out all white, especially if you are using bulb. If you want a moving subject to blur, shoot when there is less light present and remember if you want the contrast between blur and sharp all in the same photo, you'll need to be on a tripod. As to your images, I think the last image is really rather striking. The water images are a nice start, but seem pretty basic, although I appreciate your processing of them. I think you should continue to experiment with shutter speeds and subject. Making a static subject (trees) feel like they are in motion is much more successful to me as you are altering reality. We can chat more about this in our meeting tomorrow. Good Luck!
