Hi Annalee. These are a nice start. I'd suggest going back to your Light assignment and using that a jumping off point for these. Those images had better light, better structure and better balance. While these are abstractions I don't find them to be as successful. I guess one fear is that you might be repeating yourself, but I wouldn't worry about that, because there is some overlap with the two assignments depending on the approach. I also think that more precise editing might also help, but I would grab your camera and go shoot. Good Luck!
Hey Annalee! I like the images you have started with a lot! Out of the majority of students works in progress' that I have looked through, I have found your works to be some of the best representations of abstraction. I find most images difficult to decipher what it is I am looking at. However, I feel as though your images are very dark and somewhat unclear. I feel as though your first and third images are too similar and I would love to see something different. I sense a trend of old-fashioned so an old fashioned abstract would be fun to see! Looking forward to seeing your final images!
