Zoe, I love the up close cactus shot! I think it was a really cool shot and the way you changed the perspective of it was wonderful. In the further back version of the shot the exposure was super high coming through that window, backlighting can be super hard to shoot with and it shows in this photo because a lot of the things in front of it are pretty dark. Your candle shots are also really interesting! I love the darkness around them and think that positively influenced the shots and made them look a bit spooky. Really nice job!
Great work! I like all of those photos, but the last four (the mirror) are my favorites. Those four pictures, positioned in different corners of the view finder, really confirm to the idea that different position/distance can really change how a subject looks like. For example, the first one and the third one have the mirror in the shadow (which gives out a rather add feeling). The second and fourth, however, have the mirror in the light which makes them (the photo) seem brighter (in terms of mood).
