  1. I like the last set of pictures. The edited version really brings out the vertical shadow (I can't tell what it is. A door knot with something overshadowing it, maybe?). The contrast between the triangular light and shadow part adds a sense of mystery to the photo. However, the light with complex shape and wave looks a bit blurry. Good job overall! The second picture is brighter and better in general than the unedited version.

  2. I am really drawn to your image with a human subject in it. I think placing her position on the bed and the fact that her hair is still wet (almost looks like she just got out of the shower) creates a sense of intimacy, like we are watching her unwinding and getting ready to go to sleep. As a photo the placement of your subjects are great but I would change some parts of the editing. I'd start by bringing the reds down on the picture-- her face looks really red and it doesn't really look like it serves any artistic purpose. I would also play around with the blown up section on her arm, maybe put a mask over it and bring the exposure down. I'd also see if I could add some colors in the light shining on the wall!

  3. Hi Quinn. So should I feel like I'm being abducted by aliens when looking at your work? I think some are more successful than others. The first image is more about those objects than about light and when you have light as a background, it becomes just and only that. Whereas, when it interacts with the subject, it becomes a subject as well, such as the young woman on the bed. So I would encourage you to continue taking that approach and not using it as a background. I enjoy the image with the shapes, but that image is more about those shapes, and not about light. If you continue to use a person, a bit more mystery could be nice. Good Luck!
