Good job on this one! I really like your pieces of the neon signs, they are fun and interesting and a form of light that is unique. I thought the photos captured the color of the artificial light really well and they were interesting. With edits, I didn't really see much difference between the originals and the edited versions. They don't have to be drastic but I'm sure there are some places that can be touched up. I like the wine glasses but the first and last picture seem almost too similar and I'd love to see if you had anything a bit more different - or if you could edit them differently to show their differences. That's up to you! Great work!
I really like your idea for the second image. Using the phone light and reflecting it on someone's glasses was such a creative approach! I do wish it was a little more exposed so we wan see more of the person's face. Same with the comment above, I don't see much difference between the original and edited photos. For your first image, for example, you could maybe add more contrast or adjusts the highlights and shadows to make the B&W more B&W. However, that's totally up to you. Nonetheless, the wine glasses and the way that light reflects of off them is such a good photo!
Hi Elizabeth. I think you are being really aggressive with the camera, composition and looking at things differently. However, I don't know if your images at this point are photographs where Light is the subject. Yes, there are reflections of light, and bright red neon, but that's not enough for them to be about light. Think about and look for shadows, although I would also encourage you to continue photographing at night. As I've mentioned to other, be aware of text and words in your images. They will always dominate the image. Good Luck!
