  1. Nice job! This was a hard assignment for sure. I think your strongest picture is your fourth one and I personally would recommend reducing the amount of shadows. In the original picture we can make out what the item is, which I think is a strength of it. In the edited version, it is so dark we can hardly make out what the plant is. I also like your last picture. It's a really simple picture and yet that is its strength. Your editing makes it feel a bit more somber and dark, which is okay if that's what you're going for. The other one lets us see a little bit more about how the light is reacting with the wall. That's up to you! Good job!

  2. I love your last photo, I think the edits really emphasize the light and bring out details in the bricks. I agree with Skylar as well that your edited 4th photo *chefs kiss*, love it. I think its a super strong image and without the shadows it actually creates more depth. I think your second photo set, the edited one seems a little grainy (not sure if its the editing or the quality it uploaded).

    1. I meant by emphasizing the shadows for your 4th image, not without the shadows (there are def shadows).

  3. Hi Eleanor. Keep looking for shadows! And continue to strengthen those shadows during post processing in LR. This group is a nice start, but I don't think the second and last image works. I think the other images are better, but could be stronger through processing or cropping during the image making process. In most cases your edits have strengthened your work, so continue to build that skillset. Good Luck!
