Devitt Final Light Photos
From my first shoot, I decided to keep this photo as not only was it one of my favorites, but the light in this photo is bending and interacting with the surface. Particularly, in this case, it is the light that showcases the stone and ceiling of the room, highlighting and altering what it looks like. Due to this, I believe that light remains the key focus in a shot like this. Edit wise from my original I tinted it blue as this photo was created with a green piece of glass. This allowed a brighter image as well as something that resembles being underwater. I kept the majority of the image dark and covered in shadows as I think that the shadows truly emphasize the way the light was altering the way we could see the stone.
This was a new photo that I took and liked the way the prisms and the bright light interacted on the bathroom wall. Edit-wise, I darkened the photo a bit because the sunlight was so bright that it was a bit blinding at first. While still bright, this light was what created the prism's reflection and I didn't want to ignore that aspect of the photo. When I trimmed it I was sure to make sure to keep the emphasis on both rather than just one.
This photo was one I was really interested in not only because of the interesting reflection of our door that was cast on the wall of the closet, but also the way that the light was hitting the corner of the room. To emphasize this, I darkened the photo and upped the exposure so that the reflection of light was emphasized and crisp before making sure to crop the original photo down to this specific corner of the room.
This photo, while I think it is a simple photo, I think shows the shadows of light very interestingly. I particularly wanted to emphasize the different lines going in separate directions and aimed to achieve this by making the shadows not overwhelmingly dark but still crisp and turning the exposure down a bit. I also put it in black and white in order to heighten the minimalistic look of the shot.
This photo was the first one that I decided to put in black and white and that was due to the nature of the photo having such interesting dark shadows. In the editing round, I darkened the shadows a bit more so that the photo could truly capture the crisp and defined lines captured by the sun. This also included a bit of playing with the exposure so it wasn't being taken away fully but still remained not being overly bright.

I think your first photo is really good. I can tell that you were bold with your edits as you kept in color , but emphasized the blue hue on the photo. This really worked for that picture because it worked in favor of capturing the light that you were taking a photo of. Your third photo also stands out to me because of the way the door on the left is dark and the door on the right is light. You did a good job with your editing to make that distinction.
