Cece: The physicality of photographing
Changing focus
Tattoo shop entrance in Old Town Sacramento.
Looking down
Experimenting with prism lenses by photographing a fake flower.
In the first picture I used the prism lens to diffract light on top of the flower, and in the second one, I put the prism lens right on top of my camera lens.
Under/Into Something
Kite shop in Old Town Saramento.
For the first picture I was underneath a glass countertop taking the picture from below and in the second one I crawled into a mess of different kites to get a clear shot of this one.
Distance/close-up
Shots of a train in Old Town Sacramento.
Four Corners
Shots of the inside of a kaleidoscope I have at home.

I will not lie at all: you have the coolest things to shoot! Theses pictures are stunning and interesting and I loved them all. I was really interested in the first specifically as the art is just so stunning. Despite this, it was hard to figure out where the second one came from due to the extreme shift in focus. While I really like the looking under something photos, I'm not sure it fits the bill of crawling or at least I can't technically tell that there was any crawling being done. Really great job otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Skylar!! Awesome pictures! Your variety in color, location, use of light make each shot unique. You have a great eye for creative spots and angles. I like the shot of the octopus the most! The one thing I would've liked to see is something other than a plain black background in your 4 corners segment. Some contrast would've added to the shot. Otherwise, I love the work!!
ReplyDeleteThis is not comment, but I just want to say that I love you pictures, subjects and colors.
