Jezzelle: Good Is Not The Same As
"Good is not the same as...
Important"
This photo was taken in 2018 and is one of my last family photos with my grandfather. That year was also the first time that I had been with my family ever since my mother and I moved to the United States - which makes the photo more special for me. It was taken by one of my uncle, Alex. I especially like how chaotic it is because it's not always picture perfect when it comes to one's family.
Useful"
This photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt found in The LIFE Picture Collection is of a mother and child in Hiroshima months after the bombing. It is useful in that it acts as a reminder of the destruction of war and the dangers of nuclear weapons. It reminds us that real and innocent people suffered because of war.
Interesting"
This is a photo that I took for a competition in high school. I don't remember why, but I did not submit it. The contrast between the trees and the night sky was really interesting to me. Also, I was interested in taking night photos at the time - I wanted to see if I could capture the stars.
Liking"
This photo was taken by my cousin Jade. I just like how it perfectly captures my friends' obsession with taking selfies. I also like how it is a picture of people taking a picture.

I really like the picture your cousin took. It's such a sweet candid that says a lot about the way that people interact with one another. I also love the coloring as everything seems so well coordinated. It isn't necessarily a picture that I think everyone may like but I love the way it makes a commentary on modern relationships and the way that media interacts with them.
ReplyDeleteGreat series of photos! I love the meaning and personal importance behind them. I find the 'interesting " picture to be the best as it provides interesting composition, subject matter, lighting and more. Some of the other pictures seem maybe a little over exposed maybe? If they were a little less washed out I think they would be great photos as well.
